'Surrender' in the Bible
"You can surrender your livestock," Joseph replied. "I'll feed them in exchange, since your money is gone."
{And then} if {they accept your terms of peace} and {they surrender to you}, {and then} all the people {inhabiting it} shall be forced labor for you, and they shall serve you.
“Don’t do anything to us for seven days,” the elders of Jabesh said to him, “and let us send messengers throughout the territory of Israel. If no one saves us, we will surrender to you.”
The men of Jabesh said, "Tomorrow we will come out to you and surrender. Then you can do whatever you want to us."

Those who stay in this city will die in battle or of starvation or disease. Those who leave the city and surrender to the Babylonians who are besieging it will live. They will escape with their lives.

Jeremiah therefore said to Zedekiah, “This is what the Lord, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘If indeed you surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then you will live, this city will not be burned down, and you and your household will survive.
But if you do not surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then this city will be handed over to the Chaldeans. They will burn it down, and you yourself will not escape from them.’”
But if you refuse to surrender, this is the verdict that the Lord has shown me:

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostituteOr your brides when they commit adultery,For the men themselves slip away with prostitutes,And they offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes [who give their bodies in honor of the idol].So the people without understanding [stumble and fall and] come to ruin.
How can I give you up, Ephraim?How can I surrender you, Israel?How can I make you like Admah?How can I treat you like Zeboiim?I have had a change of heart;My compassion is stirred!
So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not [carefully consider the cost and then for My sake] give up all his own possessions.
