'Hills' in the Bible
The blessings of your father excelthe blessings of my ancestorsand the bounty of the eternal hills.May they rest on the head of Joseph,on the crown of the prince of his brothers.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his handor marked off the heavens with the span of his hand?Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measureor weighed the mountains in a balanceand the hills in the scales?
See, I will make you into a sharp threshing board,new, with many teeth.You will thresh mountains and pulverize themand make hills into chaff.
I will lay waste mountains and hillsand dry up all their vegetation.I will turn rivers into islandsand dry up marshes.

Surely, falsehood comes from the hills,commotion from the mountains,but the salvation of Israelis only in the Lord our God.

You are to say: Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: I am about to bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.

They sacrifice on the mountaintops,and they burn offerings on the hills,and under oaks, poplars, and terebinths,because their shade is pleasant.And so your daughters act promiscuouslyand your daughters-in-law commit adultery.
The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel,will be destroyed;thorns and thistles will grow over their altars.They will say to the mountains, “Cover us!”and to the hills, “Fall on us!”
In that daythe mountains will drip with sweet wine,and the hills will flow with milk.All the streams of Judah will flow with water,and a spring will issue from the Lord’s house,watering the Valley of Acacias.
Hear this! The days are coming—this is the Lord’s declaration—when the plowman will overtake the reaperand the one who treads grapes,the sower of seed.The mountains will drip with sweet wine,and all the hills will flow with it.
In the last daysthe mountain of the Lord’s housewill be establishedat the top of the mountainsand will be raised above the hills.Peoples will stream to it,
Now listen to what the Lord is saying:Rise, plead your case before the mountains,and let the hills hear your voice.
The mountains quake before Him,and the hills melt;the earth trembles at His presence—the world and all who live in it.
He stands and shakes the earth;He looks and startles the nations.The age-old mountains break apart;the ancient hills sink down.His pathways are ancient.
On that day—this is the Lord’s declaration—there will be an outcry from the Fish Gate,a wailing from the Second District,and a loud crashing from the hills.
Go up into the hills, bring down lumber, and build the house. Then I will be pleased with it and be glorified,” says the Lord.
I have summoned a droughton the fields and the hills,on the grain, new wine, olive oil,and whatever the ground yields,on man and beast,and on all that your hands produce.”
Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’
