'Invited' in the Bible
So Laban invited all the men of the place to a feast.
Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain and invited his relatives to eat a meal. So they ate a meal and spent the night on the mountain.
lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and then, when they go a whoring after their gods, and sacrifice unto their gods, thou be invited, and eat of their sacrifice,
The women invited them to the sacrifices for their gods, and the people ate and bowed in worship to their gods.
The next day, they told Samson's wife, "Coax your husband to explain the riddle or we'll set fire to your father's house with you in it! You've invited us here to make us paupers, haven't you?"
So both of them sat down for a bit, ate and drank together, and the young woman's father invited the man, "Please, enjoy yourself and spend another night."
They stopped there and decided to spend the night in Gibeah. They came into the city and sat down in the town square, but no one invited them to spend the night.

When you come into town you can find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people don't eat until he arrives, because he must bless the sacrifice and then after that those who are invited will eat. So go up right now because you can find him now."
Samuel took Saul and his attendant, brought them to the banquet hall, and gave them a place at the head of the 30 or so men who had been invited.
And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
“In peace,” he replied. “I’ve come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

"All the servants of the king and the people of the king's provinces know that there is only one law applicable to any man or woman who comes uninvited to the king in the inner court -- that person will be put to death, unless the king extends to him the gold scepter, permitting him to be spared. Now I have not been invited to come to the king for some thirty days!"

Then one of the Pharisees invited Him to eat with him. He entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him—she’s a sinner!”
After Jesus had said this, a Pharisee invited him to have a meal with him. So Jesus went and took his place at the table.
He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noticed how they would choose the best places for themselves:
“When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, don’t recline at the best place, because a more distinguished person than you may have been invited by your host.
The one who invited both of you may come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this man,’ and then in humiliation, you will proceed to take the lowest place.
“But when you are invited, go and recline in the lowest place, so that when the one who invited you comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ You will then be honored in the presence of all the other guests.
He also said to the one who had invited Him, “When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.
Then He told him: “A man was giving a large banquet and invited many.
At the time of the banquet, he sent his slave to tell those who were invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’
For I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will enjoy my banquet!’”
Jesus, however, invited them: “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
The next day, having decided to leave Bethany and go into Galilee, Jesus found Philip, and invited him to follow Him.
Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding as well.
Joseph then invited his father Jacob and all his relatives, 75 people in all,
“How can I,” he said, “unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
Peter then invited them in and gave them lodging.The next day he got up and set out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went with him.
On the following day he [and the others] entered Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends.
The people who lived there were unusually kind to us. It had started to rain and was cold, so they started a bonfire and invited us to join them around it.

and you also are among those who are called of Jesus Christ to belong to Him;
Only, let each one live the life which the Lord has assigned him, and to which God has called him [for each person is unique and is accountable for his choices and conduct, let him walk in this way]. This is the rule I make in all the churches.
I am astonished and extremely irritated that you are so quickly shifting your allegiance and deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different [even contrary] gospel;
This [deceptive] persuasion is not from Him who called you [to freedom in Christ].
