and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily form, like a dove, upon him, and a voice came from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I delight.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you: That ye may be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
And now I am coming to thee, and I speak these things in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.
But seeing the multitudes he was moved with tender compassion for them, because they were faint and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
And going forth he saw a great multitude, and was moved with tender compassion for them, and healed their sick.
Then Jesus calling his disciples to him said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
So Jesus moved with tender compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a bird gathereth her young under her wings; and ye would not!
And as he drew near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
They say to him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold, how he loved him! And some of them said,
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing his hour was come to pass out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.
Come to me, all ye that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls.
Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lackest: Go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me, taking up thy cross.
Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?
But they held their peace. And looking round upon them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored.
And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him:
But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you, Bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you. And to him that smiteth thee on the cheek, offer also the other: and him that taketh away thy cloke, forbid not to take thy coat also.read more.
Give to every man that asketh thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? For even sinners do the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful and the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, conformable to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
And we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.
And to put on the new man, which is created after God, in righteousness and true holiness.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
