Then Judas, who betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, repenting, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the high priests and the elders, saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that." And, throwing the pieces of silver into the temple, he withdrew; and, going away, he hanged himself.
And, calling the multitude to Him with His disciples, He said to them, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever would save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his soul for My sake and the Gospel's, shall save it.
Then said Jesus to His disciples, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me; for whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his soul for My sake shall find it;
And He said to all, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it; but whosoever will lose his soul for My sake, the same shall save it.
In this we have known the love, that He laid down His soul in our behalf; and we ought to lay down our souls in behalf of the brethren.
for, if ye live according to the flesh, ye are going to die; but, if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Make dead, therefore, your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which, indeed, is idolatry;
"And, if your right eye is causing you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you; for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be cast into Hell. "And, if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you; for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body go away into Hell.
And those who are of Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with the passions and desires.
But it could not be that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has become crucified to me, and I to the world.
Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly desires, which, indeed, war against the soul;
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be brought to nought, that we should no more be in bondage to sin; for he that died has been justified from sin.
that ye put off, as to your former manner of life, the old man, who is corrupt according to the desires of deceit; and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
I have been crucified with Christ; and no longer am I living, but Christ is living in me; and, in so far as I am now living in flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death?
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that ye might be joined to another??o Him Who was raised from the dead??hat we might bear fruit to God.
For we who live are always delivered up to death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So that death is working in us, but life in you.
that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as if living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to decrees,
But I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage; lest, by any means, after having preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

Apart from those things without, that which is a pressure upon me daily, anxiety for all the assemblies. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I burn not? Which things, having, indeed, a show of wisdom, in will-worship, humility, and severe treatment of the body, are not of any value, against the indulgence of the flesh.
Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil-workers, beware of the mutilation. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in flesh:
If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as if living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to decrees, "Handle not, taste not, touch not," (which are all for destruction in the using), according to the commandments and teachings of men?
But the Spirit expressly saith, that in later times, some will fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and to teachings of demons, in hypocrisy of men speaking lies, branded in their own conscience with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving by those who believe and have full knowledge of the truth.read more.
Because every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, when it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified through the word of God and intercession.
