4 Bible Verses about Young Men

The young men likewise exhort to be discreet, In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works,

And behold one came and said to him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith to him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder: thou shalt not commit adultery; thou shalt not steal; thou shalt not bear false witness; read more.
Honour thy father and mother, and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith to him, All these things have I kept from my childhood: what lack I yet? Jesus saith to him, If thou desirest to be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me. But the young man, hearing that saying, went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.

And as he was going out into the way, one running and kneeling to him, asked him, Good Master, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life? But Jesus saith to him, Why callest thou me good? And he answering said to him, Master, all these have I kept from my childhood. Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lackest: Go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me, taking up thy cross. But he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved; for he had great possessions.

Jesus hearing these things said to him, Yet lackest thou one thing: Sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful; for he was very rich.

And that from an infant thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, thro' faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Remembering the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; I am persuaded in thee also.

And he divided to them his substance. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took a journey into a far country, and there squandered away his substance, living riotously.

And he said to them, Why sought ye me? Knew ye not, that I must be about my Father's business?
