Now he said this, not because it was a concern to him about the poor, but because he was a thief, and he had the purse and removed things that were put in. Jesus therefore said, Let her alone. She has keep it for the day of my burial. For ye always have the poor with you, but ye do not always have me.

And having said these things, she turned backward, and sees Jesus standing. And she had not known that it is Jesus. Jesus says to her, Woman, why weep thou? Whom seek thou? That woman, supposing that he is the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou have taken him, tell me where thou have laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus says to her, Mary.
