'Says the Lord' in the Bible
'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?
says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago.
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."
In the law it is written, "By men of strange tongues and by the lips of foreigners will I speak to this people, and even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord."
Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.
And I will be a father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
For he finds fault with them when he says: "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;
not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they did not continue in my covenant, and so I paid no heed to them, says the Lord.
This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
