What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who did not follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be credited to them.

For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."

even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all those who believe. For there is no distinction,

whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, because in God's forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed;

to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, so that he would be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

But to him who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.

For the promise to Abraham and to his seed that he should be heir of the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down);

For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
