For those who sleep at night and those who get drunk are drunken at night,

He came to Jesus one night and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that you have come from God, for no one can perform the wonder-works that you are doing, unless God is with him."

But in the night the angel of the Lord threw open the jail doors and let them out, and said to them,

And He left and went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

Then the devil who led them astray was hurled into the fiery lake of burning brimstone, where the wild beast and false prophet were, and there they are to be tortured day and night forever and ever.

Its gates will never be closed by day -- for there will be no night there --

There will be no night any longer; so they will need no lamplight nor sunlight, for the Lord God will give them light, and they will rule forever and ever.

But be sure of this, that if the master of the house had known in exactly what part of the night the thief would come, he would have been on guard and would not have let his house be broken into.

Jesus said to him, "I solemnly say to you, this very night, before a cock crows, you will disown me three times."
