For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.

And when the fourteenth night came -- we being borne up and down in the Adria -- toward the middle of the night the sailors were supposing that some country drew nigh to them;

But understand this: If the head of the house had known what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

And the angels who did not keep to their kingdom but went out from the place which was theirs, he has put in eternal chains and in dark night till the great day of the judging.

Violent waves of the sea, streaming with their shame, wandering stars for whom the darkest night is kept in store for ever.
