and then becomes physically abusive to his fellow-slaves, and eats and drinks [at parties] with drunkards,

and if a family splits into parties, that family cannot continue.

For he is our peace, who has made both parties one, and broken down the partition wall that separated us,

through His human nature He has put a stop to the hostility between us, namely, the law with its commands and decrees, in order to create one new humanity out of the two parties and so make peace through union with Himself, and in one body

This is a sure saying, and of all parties worthy to be received.

For enough time of life has past for you to accomplish the will of the Gentiles, having gone in debaucheries, lusts, excesses of wine, revelings, drinking parties, and lawless idolatries.
