While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God

But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through his grace, was pleased

But now the righteousness of God has been revealed apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it,

For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

So also David describes the blessedness of the man to whom God reckons righteousness apart from works:

But sin, finding opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetous desire. For apart from the law sin lies dead.

I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father's will.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the members of the body. The tongue corrupts our whole person, sets the whole course of our life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
