And he came near and touched the bier; the bearer stopped and he said, "Young man, I bid you to rise." And he who was dead sat up and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother.

When he had said this he cried with a great voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" Out came the dead man, wrapped hand and foot with grave-clothes, and his face bound up in a napkin. Jesus said to them, "Untie him, and let him go."

For he must rule until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is Death.
