for what is to be known of God is manifest among them, for God hath manifested it to them. Inasmuch as from the first creation of the world, the invisible things of Him, even his eternal power and Godhead, are, if attended to, clearly seen in his works:
for He did us good, in giving us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
for the instructions, which Thou gavest me, I have given to them: and they have received them, and have known of a truth that I came from Thee, and have believed that thou hast sent me.
Now if we admit the testimony of men, sure the testimony of God is greater: and this is the testimony of God, which He hath testified concerning his Son. He, that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness in himself: he, that believeth not God, hath in effect made Him a liar, because he believed not the testimony which God hath testified of his Son.
Wherefore God being willing more abundantly to manifest unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it with an oath:
Therefore being a prophet; and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Messiah, to sit on his throne;

He hesitated not at the promise of God through unbelief: but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded, that what was promised He was able to perform:
Let your conversation be free from covetousness, and be contented with what ye have: for He hath said, I will not leave thee; I will never, never forsake thee.
Happy is the man who sustaineth temptation; for being approved he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.
Hear, my beloved brethren; hath not God chosen the poor of this world who are rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which He hath promised to them that love Him? but ye have slighted the poor.
Because He hath fixed a day, in which He will judge the world in righteousness, by that man whom He hath appointed thereto; having given assurance of it to all men, by raising Him from the dead.
to whom also He presented Himself alive, after He had suffered, by many certain proofs; being seen among them for forty days, and speaking of the things relating to the kingdom of God.

But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him.
Believe me therefore that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: at lest, believe me for the very works.
And indeed Jesus wrought many other signs also in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these things are written, that ye may believe, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life through his name.
God also testifying together with them by signs, and wonders, and divers miracles, and gifts of the holy Spirit, according to his own will.
And these signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name shall they cast out demons, they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they should drink any thing poisonous, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall be well.
Ye are our epistle, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by all men: being manifest that ye are the epistle of Christ, through our ministration, written not with ink, but by the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on tables of the heart of flesh.
For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much certainty; as ye know what sort of persons we were among you for your sakes.
So that the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
By this we know that we are in Him, and He in us; because He hath given us of his Spirit.
