I also will choose their delusions and will bring their fears upon them because I called, and no one answered; I spoke, and they did not hear: but they did evil before my eyes and chose that which displeased me.

Because I have called and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one responded;

But my people did not hearken to my voice, and Israel did not love me.

I also will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter because when I called, ye did not respond; I spoke, and ye did not hear, but did evil before my eyes and did choose that which displeased me.

And now because ye have done all these works, said the LORD and I spoke well unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye did not hear; and I called you, but ye did not answer;

My God will cast them away because they did not hearken unto him; and they shall be wanderers among the Gentiles.

and sent forth his slaves to call those that were invited to the wedding, and they would not come.

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

And against Israel he says, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.


And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.


And she said, Behold, thy sister-in-law has returned to her people and to her gods; return thou after thy sister-in-law.

And Elijah came near unto all the people and said, How long shall ye halt between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom desire ye that I release unto you? Barabbas or Jesus who is called Christ?



Then Jesus said unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?



I have sent also unto you all my slaves the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Turn ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and ye shall live in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

and sent forth his slaves to call those that were invited to the wedding, and they would not come.

Say unto them, As I live, said the Lord GOD, I do not desire the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from his way and that he live; turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?


and sent his slave at supper time to say to those that were called, Come, for all things are now ready.







Go ye therefore into the entrances of the highways and call as many as ye shall find to the marriage.





Then Moses had said, Today you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, for each one has consecrated in his son and in his brother, that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

the gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of the workmen. And who then is willing to consecrate the offering of his hands today unto the LORD?


If a man, therefore, purges himself from these things, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and profitable for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man never knew its price; neither is it found in the land of the living. The deep saith, It is not in me; and the sea saith, It is not with me. read more.
It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for its price. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx or the sapphire. Gold cannot equal it, nor can diamond; neither shall it be exchanged for vessels of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls; for wisdom is better than precious stones. The emerald of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold. Where then does wisdom come from? And where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living and kept concealed from every fowl of the heaven. Hell and death say, We have heard its fame with our ears. God understands its way, and he alone knows its place. For he looks unto the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heaven, To make a weight for the wind and to supply water by measure, when he made a law for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunders. Then he saw it and counted it; he prepared it and also searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, that the fear of the Lord, is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Blessed is the man that has found wisdom and who brings to light intelligence, for the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the fruits thereof more than fine gold. She is more precious than precious stones, and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. read more.
Length of days is in her right hand and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those that lay hold upon her, and blessed is every one that retains her. The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by intelligence has he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the heavens drop down the dew. My son, do not let them depart from thine eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion, so shall they be life unto thy soul and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

Hearken, ye sons, unto the chastening of the father, and pay attention that ye might know understanding. For I give you good doctrine; do not forsake my law. For I was my father's son, tender and unique in the sight of my mother. read more.
He taught me and said unto me, Sustain thine heart with my words; keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding; forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee; love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Grow in wisdom, and she shall promote thee; she shall bring thee to honour when thou hast embraced her. She shall give to thine head an increase of grace; a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my words, and the years of thy life shall be multiplied. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have caused thee to walk in right paths. When thou goest in these paths, thy steps shall not be hindered; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of chastening; do not let go; keep this; for it is thy life.


Wisdom cries without; she utters her voice in the streets:

Doth not wisdom cry, and give her voice to intelligence?

She has sent forth her maidens; she cries upon the highest places of the city,






So he departed from there and found Elisha, the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. And Elijah passed by him and cast his mantle upon him.




But what do you think? A certain man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard.


Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, said the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of this land, said the LORD, and work; for I am with you, said the LORD of the hosts:


As the man who, taking a far journey, left his house and gave his estate to his slaves and to each one his responsibility and commanded the porter to watch.
