Jesus said to His disciples, “For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; or about your body, as to what you will wear.
When you sit down to eat with a ruler, consider who and what are before you; For you will put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to desire.
So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God.
[Regarding meat offered to idols:] Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking any questions for the sake of your conscience,
Do not incline my heart to [consent to or tolerate] any evil thing,
Or to practice deeds of wickedness
With men who plan and do evil;
And let me not eat of their delicacies (be tempted by their gain).
It is not good to eat much honey,
Nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory.
For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
