death » The lord destroying death
As for death, he shall utterly consume it. The LORD God shall wipe away the tears from all faces, and take away the rebuke of his people through the whole world. For the LORD himself hath said it. In that day shall it be said, "Lo, this is our God: we have waited for him, and he shall save us. This is the LORD in whom we have hoped: Let us rejoice, and delight in his salvation.
For he must reign till he have put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. "For he hath put all things under his feet." But when he saith, "All things are put under him," it is manifest, that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. read more.

When all things are subdued unto him: then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all things.
Nevertheless, we yet see not all things subdued unto him. For it became him - for whom are all things, and by whom are all things - after that he had brought many sons unto glory, that he should make the Lord of their salvation perfect through suffering. Forasmuch as he that sanctifieth, and they which are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause's sake he is not ashamed to call them brethren, read more.

And again, "Behold here am I and the children which God hath given me." Forasmuch, then, as the children were partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part with them, for to put down through death him that had lordship over death: that is to say, the devil.
