And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon. And the same man was just and feared God, and longed for the consolation of Israel, and the holy ghost was in him.


LORD be merciful unto us, we wait for thee. Thine arm is at a point to visit us, but be thou our health in the time of trouble.


My soul fleeth unto the LORD before the morning watch, I say, before the morning watch.

In that day shall it be said, "Lo, this is our God: we have waited for him, and he shall save us. This is the LORD in whom we have hoped: Let us rejoice, and delight in his salvation.

Therefore, LORD, we have a respect unto the way of thy judgments; thy name and thy remembrance rejoice the soul.

{Tet} O how good is the LORD unto them that put their trust in him, and to the soul that seeketh after him?

and gathered them together, and commanded them, that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but to "Wait for the promise of the father, whereof ye have heard of me.


Then did I, Nebuchadnezzar, love, magnify and praise the King of heaven: for all his works are true, and his ways right. As for those that go on proudly, he is able to bring them down.

He standeth, and measureth the earth. He looketh, and the people consume away, the mountains of the world fall down to powder, and the hills are fain to bow themselves, for his goings are everlasting and sure.




The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.


Who is wise to understand these things and hath wit to perceive them? For the ways of the LORD are straight, and the righteous shall walk in them: but the wicked shall tumble in them.



Behold, even as the eyes of servants look unto the hands of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hands of her mistress, even so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until he have mercy upon us.



Lead me forth in thy truth, and learn me. For thou art the God of my salvation; in thee hath been my hope all the day long.


Thus I wait upon the LORD that hath turned his face from the house of Jacob, and I look unto him.




Therefore, whereas all people have walked every man in the name of his own god, we will walk in the name of our God for ever and ever.


And the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD that they should walk after the LORD, and keep his commandments and his witnesses and his ordinances with all their hearts and all their souls, and make good the words of the said covenant that were written in the foresaid book. And all the people consented to the covenant.

Thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

And Enoch walked with God, after he had begot Methuselah, three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty five years,

The law of truth was in his mouth, and there was no wickedness found in his lips. He walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many one away from their sins.



That the LORD may make good his promise which he hath promised me, saying, 'If thy children shall take heed to their ways, that they walk before me in truth, with all their hearts and with all their souls; then thou shalt never be without one sitting on the seat of Israel.'

"Oh LORD, remember yet how I have walked before thee truly and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight," and wept a great pace.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, and my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

I will walk before the LORD, in the land of the living.


Behold, then came the glory of the God of Israel from out of the east, whose voice was like a great noise of waters, and the earth was lightened with his glory.

The voice of the LORD is mighty in operation; the voice of the LORD is a glorious voice.

The LORD also shall set up the power of his voice, and declare his terrible arm, with his angry countenance; yea, and the flame of the consuming fire, with earthquake, tempest of wind, and hailstones.


Father, glorify thy name." Then came there a voice from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." Then said the people that stood by and heard, "It thundereth." Others said, "An angel spake to him."

Even then, verily, when he received of God the father honour and glory, and when there came such a voice to him from that excellent glory. "This is my dear beloved son, in whom I have delight" -



And the voice of the horn blew and waxed louder, and louder. Moses spake, and God answered him and that with a voice.


And after the earthquake, came fire. But the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire, came a small still voice.
