If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me may be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
We are confident, I say, and would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better;
Then we who are alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst."
So when Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished!" And he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he praised God, and said, "Certainly this was a righteous man!"

But Jesus turning to them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed!' Then he handed him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus. And he, bearing his cross, went out to a place called the Place of the Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. There they crucified him, and two others with him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. read more.
Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. The chief priests of the Jews then said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'This man said, I am King of the Jews.'" Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written." When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments, and made four parts, one for each soldier, and also his tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be." This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did. By the cross of Jesus stood his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing by, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" The chief priests of the Jews then said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'This man said, I am King of the Jews.'" Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written." When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments, and made four parts, one for each soldier, and also his tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be." This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did. By the cross of Jesus stood his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing by, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst." Now a vessel full of wine vinegar was sitting there; so they filled a sponge with the vinegar, put it on hyssop, and put it to his mouth. So when Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished!" And he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
