And ought not this woman, who is a daughter of Abra ham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed; and all the multitude rejoiced on account of all the glorious things that were done by him.

The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus that had restored him to health. And for this reason did the Jews persecute Jesus, and seek to kill him, because he had done these things on the sabbath. But Jesus answered them: My Father works till now, and I also work. read more.
