that the Christ should suffer and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead and should show light unto this people and to the Gentiles.

And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up the Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
For to this end Christ both died and rose and revived: to thus exercise lordship over the dead as well as over the living.
