The Spirit is he that gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken unto you, they are Spirit and they are life. But there are some of you that do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore I said unto you that no one can come unto me unless it is given unto them of my Father.

For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, Not of works, lest any man should boast.

So then faith comes by hearing, and the ear to hear by the word of God.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace, that brings good tidings of good, that publishes saving health, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigns!

Who shall believe our report? and upon whom shall the arm of the LORD be manifested?

Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the very works' sake.

because by reason of him many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in tribulation. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the violence thereof. Selah.
