But when Cephas came to Antioch, I withstood him to the face; for he was condemned.
One of the servants of the highpriest, being a kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
But Elymas the magian (for so is his name interpreted) withstood them, seeking so turn away the proconsul from the faith.
And the highpriest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
And when they set themselves against him, and reviled, he shook his garments, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own heads! I am clean; from this time I will go to the gentiles.

Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Brethren, even if a man be detected in a fault, do ye who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

And as he came out thence, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very spiteful, and to press him to speak off hand about many things, lying in wait to catch something out of his mouth.
And the Pharisees and Sadducees came to try him, and asked him to show them a sign from heaven.
Then the Pharisees went and consulted together how l they might ensnare him in speech.
And when they saw that he was eating with the publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples, Doth he eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
then the Pharisees and scribes ask him, Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with defiled hands?
And some of the Pharisees said, Why are ye doing that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath?
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
The Pharisees therefore said to him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy witness is not true.
and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he answered, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
Since then God gave the like gift to them as to us, on believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?
