For it is certain that we die and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person; yet he does devise means that his outcasts not be expelled from him.
For I know that thou dost conduct me unto death and to the house appointed for all living.
For he sees that all the wise men die, likewise the fool and the ignorant perish and leave their wealth to others.
What man is he that lives and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah.
For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even one thing befalls them: as the one dies, so dies the other; and they all have one breath; so that a man has no more breath than a beast: for all is vanity.

And as it is appointed unto men to die once, and after this the judgment;

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a juniper tree; and desiring to die, he said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am not better than my fathers.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
For I am in a strait between the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better:
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff shall comfort me.
For his wickedness shall the wicked be cast out, but the righteous in his death has hope.
And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom; the rich man also died and was buried;
For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on; Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them.
