For my light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working out for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

The last enemy that will be destroyed is Death.
"I am the resurrection and the life," said Jesus. "He who believes in me, even if he has died, shall live. And every one who is living and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
"People in this world marry and are given in marriage," said Jesus, "but those who are counted worthy to reach that world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. "For indeed they cannot die any more; they are equal to the angels, and through being sons of the resurrection are sons of God.
"I myself am the living bread that has come down from heaven. Any one who eats this bread will live forever; and moreover, the bread which I will give is my flesh, given for the life of the world."

and the world and its lusts are passing away, but he who ever does the will of God abides forever.
"The thief never comes except to steal and kill and destroy. I am come that they may have life, and may have it in abundance.
but whoever once drinks of the water that I will give him, shall never thirst any more, but the water that I will give him shall become a living spring of water within him, welling up into eternal life."
"And every one who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall many times as much, and fall heir to eternal life.
but shall receive a hundred times as much, now in this present world, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands??nd persecutions with them??nd in the world to come eternal life.
"who shall not certainly receive many times as much in this time, and in the age to come eternal."
A ruler put this question to him. "Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
So Jesus appealed to the Twelve. "You also do not wish to leave me, do you?" Simon Peter answered. "To whom shall we go Master? You have words of eternal life; "and we have learned to believe and we know that you are the holy one of God."

He died for us, in order that whether we are keeping vigil in life or sleeping in death we may ever be living together with him.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus from dead is dwelling in you, He who raised up Jesus from the dead is dwelling in you, He who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make your dying bodily self live by his indwelling Spirit in your lives.
"I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
In the presence of God who gives life to all, and of Christ Jesus who bore witness to the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
Jesus answered him. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man ever comes to the Father but by me.
It is of what has existed from the beginning, of what we have listened to, of what we have seen with our own eyes, of what we have witnessed and touched with our own heads, it is concerning the Logos of Life that we are now writing. And the Life was made visible, and we have seen it and are bearing witness, and are bringing you word of that Eternal Life which was face to face with the Father and was made visible to us.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and has granted us and understanding, so that we may come to know him who is true. And we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and life eternal.
"The spirit is what gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words which I have been speaking to you, are spirit and are life.
It is he who has also made me sufficient as a minister of a new covenant; not of a letter but of a spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit makes alive.
The man who is sowing to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption; but he who is sowing to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap life eternal.
