The love of God was made known through us. God sent his only-begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.
We see and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation (atonement) (sacrificial payment) for our sins.

May they all be united (in agreement) as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.
