When there is a dispute between men and they go to court, and the judges decide their case. They justify the righteous and condemn the wicked.
All nations have gathered together, and people have assembled. Who among them could have revealed this? Who among them could have foretold this to us? They should bring their witnesses to prove that they were right. Let the people hear them. Then they will say: 'It is the truth.'
Who will bring any charge against the ones God has chosen? It is God who justifies (makes righteous).
Then Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became angry. He was angry with Job because he justified himself rather than God.
Jesus said: You make yourselves look righteous to other people. God knows your hearts. The things considered of great value by people are worth nothing in God's sight.

I fast twice per week. I give tithes of all that I get. But the tax collector stood far away and would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven. He beat his breast, saying: God, be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you the tax collector and not the Pharisee was right with God when he went home. He who exalts himself will be humbled! He who humbles himself will be exalted!
Jehovah is righteous. He loves a righteous way of life. Upright people will see his face (contemplate his presence).
My tongue will declare your righteousness and your praise all day long.
In His days Judah will be saved. Israel will dwell securely. This is his name by which he will be called, Jehovah Is Our Righteousness.
Seek (desire) (require) (serve) first the kingdom of God and his righteousness [continuously] and all these things will be added to you.
Righteous Father, the world has not known you. I know you and those you sent me know you.
It reveals the righteousness of God from faith-to-faith for it is written: The righteous shall live by faith.
God makes people righteous through their active faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all.
He alone judges the world with righteousness. He judges its people fairly.
Jehovah of Hosts shows his greatness by doing what is right. He reveals his holiness by judging his people.
If they want to brag, instead let them advocate (glory) (celebrate) that they understand and know me. They should advocate that I, Jehovah, act out of love, righteousness, and justice on the earth. This kind of celebration pleases me, declares Jehovah.
Should God avenge his chosen that cry to him day and night, and yet he is longsuffering over them?
I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
Surely you would not do that! Would you slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked? Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
I have not done you any wrong. You are doing wrong to me by making war on me. Jehovah is the judge. He will decide today between the Israelites and the Ammonites.'
I have sinned against you, especially you. I have done what you consider evil in your sight. So you hand down justice when you speak, and you are blameless when you judge.
Hear Jehovah's indictment you mountains and you enduring foundations of the earth! Jehovah argues a case against his people. He will contend with Israel:
I tell you there will be an account in the Judgment Day for every careless word that men say.
This is in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, by Jesus Christ.
Only one is the lawgiver and judge, even he who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you that you judge your neighbor?

Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them in six days. He rested on the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you. Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not (lie) accuse anyone falsely. Do not covet (desire) another man's house. Do not desire his wife, his slaves, his cattle, his donkeys, or anything else that he owns.
I am Jehovah your God. I brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Do not have any other god but me. Do not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above, or on the earth below, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:read more.
Do not bow down to them. Do not serve them! For I Jehovah your God am a totally demanding zealous God. I require exclusive devotion and punish the fathers and children who hate me to the third and fourth generation. I show loving kindness to thousands of generations who love me and obey my commandments. Do not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain. Jehovah will not leave him unpunished who takes his name in vain. Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it (keep it holy), as Jehovah your God has commanded you. Do all your work in six days. The seventh day is the Sabbath of Jehovah your God: in it you should not do any work. Your son and daughter should not work. Your manservant and maidservant should not work. Your ox, donkey, cattle or any stranger living with you should not work. Your manservant and maidservant should rest as much as you do. Remember that you were servants in the land of Egypt, and that Jehovah your God brought you out through a mighty act. Jehovah your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day. Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God commands you and your days will be prolonged and things will go well with you, in the land Jehovah gives you. Do not kill. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not bear false witness against another man. Do not desire another man's wife; do not covet another man's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his donkey, or any thing that belongs to him.'
The law of Jehovah is perfect. It gives new life. The testimony of Jehovah is dependable. It makes the simple wise.
God did what the Law could not do, because human nature was weak. He sent his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering and do away with sin. So he condemned sin in sinful human nature. God did this so that the righteous requirements of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.
Do not enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.
For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God
All of us have become unclean, and all our righteous acts are like permanently stained rags. All of us wither like leaves, and our sins carry us away like the wind.
No flesh will be justified before God by works of the law. Knowledge of sin comes from the law. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets.
We are Jews by birth, and not sinners from the nations. Yet we know that a man is not righteous by the works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ. We believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be righteous by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law. The works of the law justify no one.
Come to Bethel and transgress! Come to Gilgal and multiply transgression! Bring your sacrifices every morning and your tithes every three days.
I also tell you, your righteousness must be greater than the scribes and Pharisees or you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
No flesh will be justified before God by works of the law. Knowledge of sin comes from the law.
I do not reject the grace (totally undeserved gift) of God: for if righteousness is [gained] through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
I want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law, or by having faith in what you heard? Are you so foolish? After starting in the Spirit, are you now made perfect (mature) in the flesh?
You who seek to be righteous by Law are separated from Christ. You have fallen away from grace.
I might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks to have confidence in the flesh, I have more! I was circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.read more.
Things that offered gain to me I count a loss for Christ. I count all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. I suffered the loss of all things. Yet I count them as refuse (garbage) (dung) that I may gain Christ.
