It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, although I was a husband to them, says Jehovah.

She will follow after her lovers but she will not reach them. She will seek them, but will not find them! She will say: 'I will return to my first husband for it was better for me then.'

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother, and will stick (adhere) (cleave) (be joined) to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This secret is great! I speak with regard to Christ and of the congregation.

The Word [Jesus] became flesh (a human being) and lived with us. We saw the glory of the only begotten son from the Father. He was full of loving-kindness and truth.

God did what the Law could not do, because human nature was weak. He sent his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering and do away with sin. So he condemned sin in sinful human nature.

He made the one who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf. That way we might become the righteousness of God in him.

When the full time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men. He obtained the appearance as a man, humbled himself, and became obedient even to death, yes, death on the stake.

This means that he had to become like his brothers in every way, in order to be their faithful and merciful High Priest in his service to God, in order to offer a propitiatory sacrifice (pay atonement) (to make reconciliation) for the sins of the people. Since he has suffered and was tested in every way; he is able to help those who are being tested.

For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever has an active faith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He gave the right to become children of God to all who received him. Even to those who believe in his name.

This was the first miracle Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. It gave evidence of his glory and his disciples believed in him.

Rivers of living water will flow from the innermost being of the man who believes in me. This is according to the scriptures.

God makes people righteous through their active faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all.

Those who live through (in union with) (because of) Jesus Christ have no condemnation. [They do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.]

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and have active faith in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes for righteousness. And with the mouth one declares for salvation.

If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things have passed away. Behold, they have become new.

The cup of blessing we bless, is it not the sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread we break, is it not the sharing of the body of Christ?

For I received from the Lord that which I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread. And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take and eat. This represents (is) my body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same manner, after supper, he took the cup, saying, This cup represents (is) the new covenant of my blood. I with them, and you with me, that they may accomplish complete unity. That way the world may know that you sent me and that you love them just as you love me. But you are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God's Spirit dwells in you. If any one does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to him. If Christ is with you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from among the dead dwells with you, he who raised Christ from among the dead shall also make your mortal bodies alive. This is on account of his Spirit that dwells with you.

What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? That one (Greek: hos he ho which, that one) is in you. You received it from God. You are not your own. You are bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body.

I have been impaled with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh (physical body) I live by faith. This is the faith that is in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself up for me.

It was God's will to make known his secret to the people of the nations, this rich and glorious secret that he has for people. The secret is that Christ is in union with you, which means that you will share in his glory.

This secret is great! I speak with regard to Christ and of the congregation.
