but I would have you take notice, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the wife, is the man; and the head of Christ, is God.

Jesus answer'd, by divine assistance men may do that which would be otherwise impossible.
seek peace with all men, and sanctity of life, without which no man shall see the Lord:
if we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater: now this is the testimony, which God has given us of his son.
now 'tis certain, that God does not countenance impostors: but regards him only that is religious, and executes his commands.
If any one deviate from this doctrine, not adhering to the wholesome instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ, the true doctrine of piety,
the first man was formed from the dust of the earth: the second man was from heaven.
