You will plant vineyards and tend them but will not drink the wine from them. Worms will eat them.

Your crops will be so plentiful that you will still be harvesting grain when it is time to pick grapes. You will still be picking grapes when it is time to plant grain. You will have all you want to eat and you will live in safety in your land.

Is the soil rich or poor? Does the land have trees or not? Do your best to bring back some fruit from the land. It was the season when grapes were beginning to ripen.

Jehovah has sworn with his right hand and with his mighty arm (of power): I will never again let your enemies eat your grain, nor will foreigners drink the new wine that you produced. Those who harvest grain will eat it and praise Jehovah. Those who gather grapes will drink wine in my holy courtyards.

Do not glean your vineyard. Do not gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard. Leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am Jehovah your God.

When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not go over it again. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow.

Jehovah said to me: Go again and love a woman beloved by her friend. Love an adulteress, even as Jehovah loves the children of Israel. Though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins for feasts.

Jehovah said to Moses: Tell the Israelites: 'A man or a woman may make a special vow to live as a Nazirite dedicated to Jehovah. Nazirites must never drink wine, liquor, vinegar made from wine or liquor, or any kind of grape juice. They must never eat fresh grapes or raisins.read more.
As long as they are Nazirites they must never eat anything that comes from a grapevine, not even grape seeds or skins.

There was a man named Manoah from the town of Zorah. He was a member of the tribe of Dan. His wife was not able to have children. Jehovah's angel appeared to her and said: You have not been able to have children, but you will become pregnant and have a son. Do not drink any wine or beer, or eat any forbidden food.read more.

His angel came back to the woman while she was in the field. Her husband Manoah was not with her, She ran to tell him, The man who came to me the other day appeared to me again. Manoah followed his wife to the man and asked, Are you the man who talked to my wife? Yes, he answered. Manoah said: When your words come true, what must the boy do? What kind of a life must he live? Jehovah's angel answered: Your wife must be sure to do everything I told her. She must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine. She must not drink any wine or beer, or eat any forbidden food. She must do everything I told her to do.

Jehovah of Hosts says: They will thoroughly glean as the vine the remnant of Israel. Pass your hand again like a grape gatherer over the baskets.

Their vine is like the vine of Sodom. Their fields are like Gomorrah. Their grapes are grapes of anger. Their clusters are bitter. Their wine is the poison of serpents, and the cruel venom of asps (cobras).

He said: What have I accomplished compared to you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abi-ezer?

Before his time he will be paid in full, and his branches will not flourish. He will be like a vine stripped of its unripe grapes, like an olive tree shedding its blossoms. The company of the godless will be barren. And fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes.

You brought a vine from Egypt. You forced out the nations and planted it. You cleared the ground for it so that it took root and filled the land. Its shade covered the mountains. Its branches covered the mighty cedars.read more.

What more could have been done for my vineyard than what I have already done for it? When I waited for it to produce good grapes, why did it produce only sour, wild grapes? Here is what I am going to do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge and break down the wall that protects it. I will let wild animals eat it and trample it down. It will turn into a desert, neither pruned nor cultivated. It will be covered with thorns and briars. I will command the clouds not to send rain. I am Jehovah of Hosts (All Powerful)! Israel is the vineyard, and Judah is the garden I tended with care. I had hoped for honesty and for justice, but dishonesty and cries for mercy were all I found.

The inhabitants of the earth pollute the earth. They transgress laws and violate statutes. They break the everlasting covenant. A curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are found guilty. Therefore, those living on the earth are burned, and few men are left. The new wine mourns, the vine decays and the merry-hearted sigh.read more.
The joyful sound of tambourines ceases. The noise of revelers and the delight of the harp cease. They no longer drink wine with a song. The beverage is bitter to its drinkers. I weep with the people of the town of Jazer. And what of the grapevines of the town of Sibmah? In the past your vines spread all the way to the sea, as far as the sea of Jazer. But the destroyer has taken over your fruit and grapes.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. They came to Baal-peor and devoted themselves to shame. They became as detestable as that which they loved.

Let the nations be aroused and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat (Jehovah's Judgment)! I will sit there to judge all the nations round about. Thrust in the sickle for the harvest is ripe! Come and tread for the winepress is full and the vats overflow. Their wickedness is great.

Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And yet another angel came out from the altar. He had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle. He said: Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. The winepress was trampled outside the city. Blood came out of the winepress as high up as the horse bridles for a distance of one hundred and eighty miles.

Watch out for the false prophets. They are disguised as sheep. But in their hearts they are vicious wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do men get grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?

A good tree does not produce corrupt fruit and a corrupt tree does not produce good fruit. The identity of a tree is made clear by the fruit it produces. Men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good. The evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth that which is evil. Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

When that time comes people will no longer say: 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and their children's teeth are set on edge.' Each person will die for his own sin. Whoever eats sour grapes will have his own teeth set on edge.

Jehovah's word continued to come to me: What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel: 'The fathers eat sour grapes, but the children's teeth are set on edge?'

Does a soldier serve at his own expense? Does the one who plants a vineyard not eat of the fruit it produces? Who shepherds a flock and does not eat some of the milk from the flock?

Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine produce figs? Neither can salt water yield sweet.
