When you come into the land and plant all kinds of fruit trees, you must not eat the fruit for the first three years. All the fruit will be a holy offering of praise to Jehovah in the fourth year. You may eat the fruit in the fifth year. Do this to make the trees produce more for you. I am Jehovah your God.

Do not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed that you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled.

When you reap the harvest of your land, you should not reap to the very corners of your field. You should not gather the gleanings of your harvest. Do not glean your vineyard. Do not gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard. Leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am Jehovah your God.

When you harvest your fields, do not cut the grain at the edges of the fields. Do not go back to cut the heads of grain that were left. Leave them for poor people and foreigners. Jehovah is your God.'

When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Plant your land and gather in what it produces for six years. Let your land rest the seventh year. Do not harvest anything that grows on it. The poor may eat what grows there. The wild animals may have what is left. Do the same with your vineyards and your olive trees.

You may work six days. On the seventh day you must not work. Even during the time of plowing or harvesting you must not work on this day.

Plant your fields, prune your vineyards, and gather your crops for six years. But the seventh year is to be a sabbath year of complete rest for the land. It is a year dedicated to Jehovah. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not even harvest the grain that grows by itself without being planted. Do not gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. It is a year of complete rest for the land.

Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. Jehovah blessed him.

You must observe my statutes and keep my judgments, so as to carry them out. That way you may live securely on the land. The land will give you its products. You will eat all you want and live there securely. You may ask: What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or bring in our crops?'read more.
I will give you my blessing in the sixth year so that the land will produce enough for three years. You will plant again in the eighth year but live on what the land already produced. You will eat it, even in the ninth year, until the land produces more.

If you live according to my laws and obey my commands, I will send you rain at the proper time. Then the land will produce crops and the trees will bear fruit. Your crops will be so plentiful that you will still be harvesting grain when it is time to pick grapes. You will still be picking grapes when it is time to plant grain. The mountains will drop sweet wine, and all the hills will melt. I will bring my people Israel back from captivity. They will rebuild the cities and inhabit them. They will plant vineyards, and drink the wine. They will also make gardens and eat their fruit.

Jehovah will give you rain for the seed that you plant in the ground, and the food that the ground provides will be rich and nourishing. When that day comes, your cattle will graze in large pastures.

Jehovah has sworn with his right hand and with his mighty arm (of power): I will never again let your enemies eat your grain, nor will foreigners drink the new wine that you produced. Those who harvest grain will eat it and praise Jehovah. Those who gather grapes will drink wine in my holy courtyards.

They will build houses and dwell in them. They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people. My chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands.

You will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria. The planters will plant and will enjoy them.

I will not treat the remnant of this people the same as it was in the former days, said Jehovah of Hosts. There will be peace for the seed. The vine will give its fruit. The ground will yield its increase. The heavens will offer their dew and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things!

If you still will not listen to me, I will discipline you seven times for your sins. I will crush your arrogance. You will have no rain, and your land will be as hard as cement. If you do not obey Jehovah your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

A ten-acre vineyard will produce only six gallons of wine, and two quarts of seed will produce only four quarts of grain.

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation. You have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold. Therefore you will plant pleasant plants and set out foreign (imported) (unusual) seedlings. In that day you will make your plant grow. In the morning you will make your seed flourish; but the harvest will be a heap of ruins in the day of grief and desperate sorrow.

The people of Israel plant the wind, but they harvest a storm. A field of grain that does not ripen will never produce any grain. Even if it did produce grain, foreigners would eat it all.

I said: Plow new ground for yourselves, plant righteousness, and reap the blessings that your devotion to me will produce. Do not be deceived. God is not mocked! A man will harvest what he sows. He that sows to his own flesh will harvest corruption of the flesh. But he that sows to the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.

I am the All-Powerful Jehovah, the God of Israel, and I make this promise: Soon Babylon will be leveled and packed down like a threshing place at harvest time.

Also for you, O Judah, a harvest is appointed.

Then the glory of Jacob will be brought low, and the fat of his flesh will grow lean (riches, strength and glory will diminish). It will be like reapers gathering the standing grain. Their arms harvest the ears, and as when one gleans the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim. Gleanings will be left in it, as when an olive tree is beaten: two or three berries in the top of the highest bough, four or five on the branches of a fruit tree, declares Jehovah the God of Israel.
