And he said, A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father; Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me.
Whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds:
And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
And again, When he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Last of all he sent to them his Son, saying, They will reverence my Son. But the husbandmen seeing the Son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come let us kill him and seize on his inheritance. And taking him, they cast him out of the vineyard and slew him.
Having yet therefore one son his well-beloved, he sent him also last to them, saying, They will reverence my son. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. And they took him and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
Then said the Lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps seeing him they will reverence him. But the husbandmen seeing him, reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the Lord of the vineyard do to them?
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his houshold, by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
By faith Abraham, being called to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the joint heirs of the same promise.
Ye are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Much every way; chiefly in that they were intrusted with the oracles of God.
And if ye are Christ's, then are ye the seed of Abraham, and heirs according to the promise.
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham or to his seed by the law, but by the righteousness of faith. For if they who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise of no effect. Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.read more.
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be of grace, that the promise might be firm to all the seed; not only to that which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations) before God in whom he believed, as quickning the dead, and calling the things that are not, as though they were:
Wherefore God being willing to shew more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his counsel, interposed by an oath:
And for this end he is the Mediator of a new covenant, that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
For if the inheritance be by the law, it is no more by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet to partake of the inheritance of the saints in light.
And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ: if we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Now I say the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and stewards, till the time appointed by the father. So we also, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world.read more.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem those under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
and to an innumerable company, To the general assembly of angels, and to the church of the first born, who are inrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Are they not all ministring spirits, sent forth to serve for them who shall inherit salvation?
through Jesus Christ our Saviour, That, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs, according to the hope of eternal life.

He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be to him a God, and he shall be to me a son.
In like manner, ye husbands, dwell according to knowledge with the woman, as the weaker vessel; giving them honour, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father to me, That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
He that overcometh, I will give him to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.
