Blessed are they who mourn; for they will be comforted.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if ye do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and ye will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door will be opened. Or what man is there of you, who, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone?read more.
or, if he ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? If ye then, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him!

Come to me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

A bruised reed he will not break, and smoking flax he will not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Therefore I say to you, All manner of sin and evilspeaking will be forgiven to men; but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

And judge not, and ye will not be judged; and condemn not, and ye will not be condemned; forgive, and ye will be forgiven;

What man of you having a hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninetynine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he findeth it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. I say to you, that in like manner there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninetynine righteous men who have no need of repentance. Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and search carefully till she findeth it? And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I lost. I say to you, that thus there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. He said also, A certain man had two sons. And he longed to fill himself with the husks that the swine ate; and no one gave to him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my fathers have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son; make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and went to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf; kill it, and let us eat and make merry. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to make merry. Now his elder son was in the field; and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. And calling one of the servants, he inquired what these things meant. And he said to him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. But he was angry, and would not go in; and his father came out, and entreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo! for so many years have I served thee, and never transgressed thy command; and yet to me thou never gavest a kid, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this thy son came, who devoured thy living with harlots, thou didst kill for him the fatted calf. And he said to him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry and be glad; for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed by himself thus: O God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I gain.read more.
But the publican, standing afar off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven; but smote his breast, saying, O God, be merciful to me a sinner! I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one that exalteth himself will be humbled; but he that humbleth himself will be exalted.

All that the Father giveth me will come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out;

I am the door; if any one enter through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out, and find pasture.

Be it therefore known to you, brethren, that through this man is announced to you the forgiveness of sins; and by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

for if thou shalt acknowledge with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth so as to obtain righteousness, and with the mouth professeth so as to obtain salvation. For the Scripture saith, "Whoever believeth in him shall not be put to shame."read more.
For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for one and the same is Lord over all, rich to all that call upon him. For "every one who calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
