And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the glad tidings to the whole creation.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All power was given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make all nations my disciples, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have commanded you. And, lo! I am with you always, unto the end of the world.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, when he had charged them, saying, Go not away to gentiles, and enter not any city of the Samaritans; but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And, as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And he calleth to him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over the unclean spirits; and commanded them that they should take nothing for the way but a staff only; no bread, no bag, no money in their girdle; but to be shod with sandals; and, Do not put on two coats.read more.
And he said to them, Wherever ye enter a house, there abide fill ye leave that place. And whatever place shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye go thence, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony to them. And they went out and preached that men should repent;
And he called together the twelve, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. And he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God, and to heal. And he said to them, Take nothing for the journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money, nor have two coats apiece.read more.
And into whatever house ye enter, there abide, and from it take your departure. And whoever shall not receive you, shake off, when ye leave that city, even the dust from your feet as a testimony against them. And they departed, and went through the towns publishing the glad tidings, and performing cures everywhere.
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God, given to me according to the effectual working of his power. To me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to make known among the gentiles the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of Christ, to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery, which hath been hidden for ages in God, who created all things;
But I have written to you, brethren, in a manner somewhat bold on some subjects, as putting you in mind, on account of the grace given me by God that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, performing the office of a priest in respect to the gospel of God, that the oblation of the gentiles may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
But ye will receive power when the Holy Spirit hath come upon you; and ye will be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
And he said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and should rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance for the remission of sins should be preached in his name among all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Ye are witnesses of these things.read more.
And I send forth upon you that which hath been promised by my Father; but do ye tarry in the city, until ye are endued with power from on high.
And on the day of Pentecost they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came out of heaven a sound, as of a rushing mighty wind; and it filled the whole house where they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributing themselves; and one sat upon each of them.read more.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, even as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, Judaea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and Romans who sojourn here, both Jews and Proselytes, Cretans and Arabianshow is it that we hear them speaking in our tongues the wonderful works of God?
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel! If we are this day examined in respect to a good deed done to a cripple, by what means he hath been restored, be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead,by him doth this man stand here before you sound.read more.
This is the stone which was set at nought by you the builders, which is become a cornerstone. And there is salvation in no other; for there is not another name under heaven, that hath been given among men, by which we must be saved.
While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word.
and my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power; that your faith might not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
And he saith to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighboring towns, that I may preach there also; for, for this I came forth.
But he said to them, I must publish the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; because for this I was sent forth.
And he came and brought the glad tidings of peace to you who were afar off, and of peace to those that were near;
And he went round the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of his charge to his twelve disciples, that he departed thence, to teach and to preach in their cities. And John, having heard in the prison of the works of Christ, sent by his disciples, and said to him, Art thou he that is to come, or are we to look for another?read more.

And the men came to him and said, John the Baptist hath sent us to thee, saying, Art thou he that is to come, or are we to look for another?read more.
In that hour he cured many of diseases, and plagues, and evil spirits, and to many who were blind he gave sight. Now those that had been scattered abroad went through the country preaching the word.
And as he held fast to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomons greatly wondering. But Peter seeing it, answered the people: Men of Israel, why wonder ye at this? Or why look ye earnestly on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye indeed delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.read more.
But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a murderer should be granted to you. But the author of life ye killed; whom God raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses. And his name, through faith in his name, made this man strong, whom ye see and know; yea, the faith which is through him gave him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. And now, brethren, I know that ye acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But God thus fulfilled what he had before announced by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer. And it shall come to pass, that every soul which doth not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people." And all the prophets also, Samuel and those who followed, as many as spoke, announced these days. Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in thy posterity shall all the families of the earth be blessed." To you first, God, having raised up his servant, sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
But Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and publishing, with many others also, the glad tidings of the word of the Lord.
But on the contrary, when they saw that I was intrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, as Peter was with that to the circumcised,
but as we have been regarded by God as worthy to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who trieth our hearts.
according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
but in his own seasons manifested his word through the preaching with which I was intrusted by the commandment of God our Saviour:
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, sober, discreet, orderly, hospitable, apt in teaching;
And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministration, for the building up of the body of Christ;
preach the word, be urgent in season, out of season, confute, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come, when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own desires will they heap to themselves teachers; because they have itching ears; and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables.read more.
But be thou watchful in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fully accomplish thy ministry.
For a bishop must be without reproach, as Gods steward; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, not a striker, not greedy of base gain, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, discreet, just, holy, temperate, holding fast the sure word according to what he was taught, that he may be able by sound teaching both to exhort, and to refute the gainsayers.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the preaching of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
And immediately he preached Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that destroyed in Jerusalem those who called on this name? And when both Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was wholly engaged in the word, testifying to the Jews, that Jesus was the Christ.
I am debtor both to Greeks and barbarians, both to the wise and the unwise. So, according to my ability, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also in Rome.
since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumblingblock, and to gentiles foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.read more.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

My brethren, be not many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
But if thou art called a Jew, and restest on the Law, and makest thy boast of God, and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the Law; and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,read more.
an instructor of those who lack wisdom, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the Law, dost thou then who teachest another, not teach thyself? Thou who proclaimest that others should not steal, dost thou steal? Dost thou who forbiddest to commit adultery, thyself commit adultery? Thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou rob temples? Dost thou who boastest of the Law, dishonor God by breaking the Law? For, as it is written, "the name of God is on your account blasphemed among the gentiles."
