Moses saw that the people were out of control, for Aaron had let them get out of control, so that they would be vulnerable to their enemies. And Moses stood at the camp's entrance and said, "Whoever is for the Lord, [come] to me." And all the Levites gathered around him. He told them, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says, 'Every man fasten his sword to his side; go back and forth through the camp from entrance to entrance, and each of you kill his brother, his friend, and his neighbor.' Then Samuel said:

Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord?

Look: to obey is better than sacrifice,
to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.

Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter, but keeping God’s commands does.

They camped at the Lord’s command, and they set out at the Lord’s command. They carried out the Lord’s requirement according to His command through Moses.

After he had seen the vision, we immediately made efforts to set out for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to evangelize them.

When the men of the city got up in the morning, they found Baal's altar torn down, the Asherah pole beside it cut down, and the second bull offered up on the altar that had been built.

If anyone wants to do His will, he will understand whether the teaching is from God or if I am speaking on My own.

But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men.

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

Then I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, along with Hananiah, commander of the fortress, because he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.

But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him:

No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God remains in us and His love is perfected in us.

and can receive whatever we ask from Him because we keep His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight.

Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
