And Abraham fell upon his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? And shall Sara, that is ninety years old, bear?"

And Sara was with child and bare Abraham a son in his old age, even the same season which the LORD had appointed.

Then said God, "Nay. Sara thy wife shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name Isaac. And I will make my covenant with him, that it shall be an everlasting covenant unto his seed after him.

And Sara laughed in herself saying, "Now I am waxed old, shall I give myself to lust, and my lord old also?"

And Abraham was a hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

Then said the LORD unto Abraham, "Wherefore doth Sara laugh saying, 'shall I of a surety bear a child, now when I am old?'

Through faith Sarah also received strength to be with child, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful which had promised.

And he said, "I will come again unto thee as soon as the fruit can live. And lo, Sara thy wife shall have a son." That heard Sara, out of the tent door which was behind his back.

"Behold, a maiden shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with us."

For thus sayeth the LORD: Am I he that maketh others to bear, and bear not myself? Am not I he that beareth, and maketh barren, sayeth thy God?

Neverthelater, yet the Lord, he will give you a sign. Behold: a virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

And Sara said, "God hath made me a laughingstock: for all that hear, will laugh at me."

Have I conceived all this people, or have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, 'Carry them in thy bosom, as a nurse beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?'

Yea, and he which was of the bondwoman, was born after the flesh: but he which was of the freewoman, was born by promise.

And Isaac made intercession unto the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Then he said, "What is to be done for her?" And Gehazi said, "Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old." And he said, "Call her." And he called her. And she came and stood at the door. Then he said, "By such a time, as soon as the fruit can live, thou shalt embrace a son." And she said, "Oh nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto the handmaid."read more.
And the wife conceived and bare a son the same season that Elisha had said unto her, "As soon as the fruit could have life."

And it fortuned, as soon as the time of his office was out, he departed home into his own house. And after those days, his wife Elizabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

But as then he that was born carnally, persecuted him that was born spiritually; Even so is it now.
