So he took and led him to the tribune, and said, Paul the prisoner, calling me to him, desired me, to bring this young man to thee, who hath something to tell thee.read more.
And the tribune taking him by the hand, and going aside privately asked, What is it, that thou hast to tell me? And he said, The Jews have agreed to ask thee, to bring down Paul to-morrow to the council, as if they would enquire something concerning him more accurately. For death is the wages of sin; but eternal life is the gift of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Know ye not, that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor sodomites, Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor revilers, nor the rapacious shall inherit the kingdom of God.
In flaming fire, taking vengeance on them who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power,
but there are some that trouble you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ. But if we or an angel from heaven preach to you another gospel than we have preached to you, let him be accursed:
Ye, therefore, beloved, knowing these things before, beware, lest ye also being led away by the error of the wicked fall from your own stedfastness:
him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. And I say to you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God. But he that denieth me before man, shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven.
And Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Saducees.
In the mean time, an innumerable multitude being gathered together, so that they trod one upon another, he said to his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Beware lest any man make a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of this world, and not after Christ.
For there are many unruly vain-talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision, Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole families, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of filthy gain.
