Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: But he knew her not, till she had brought forth her Son, the first-born. And this shall be a sign to you; ye shall find the babe, wrapped in swaddling-clothes, lying in a manger.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem those under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And she brought forth her son, the first-born, and swathed him, and laid him in the manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
