for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you -- of God the gift, not of works, that no one may boast;
who did save us, and did call with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages,
and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Saviour did appear (not by works that are in righteousness that we did but according to His kindness,) He did save us, through a bathing of regeneration, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit,

And dost thou wish to know, O vain man, that the faith apart from the works is dead? Abraham our father -- was not he declared righteous out of works, having brought up Isaac his son upon the altar? dost thou see that the faith was working with his works, and out of the works the faith was perfected? and fulfilled was the Writing that is saying, 'And Abraham did believe God, and it was reckoned to him -- to righteousness;' and, 'Friend of God' he was called. Poor is he who is working -- a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
In all labour there is advantage, And a thing of the lips is only to want.
and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reap -- not desponding;
The masters! that which is righteous and equal to the servants give ye, having known that ye also have a Master in the heavens.

so that, my brethren beloved, become ye stedfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the Lord at all times, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.
