but the righteous are secure forever. Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes,
so the slacker is to the one who sends him on an errand. The fear of the Lord prolongs life,
but the years of the wicked are cut short. The hope of the righteous is joy,
but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing. The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the honorable,
but destruction awaits the malicious. The righteous will never be shaken,
but the wicked will not remain on the earth. The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom,
but a perverse tongue will be cut out.

“You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Fool!’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You moron!’ will be subject to hellfire. What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can his faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it? read more.

So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its desires. And do not offer any parts of it to sin as weapons for unrighteousness.
