'Crown' in the Bible
They twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in His right hand. And they knelt down before Him and mocked Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”
They dressed Him in a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and put it on Him.
The soldiers also twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and threw a purple robe around Him.
Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Here is the man!”
Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. However, they do it to receive a crown that will fade away, but we a crown that will never fade away.
So then, my brothers, you are dearly loved and longed for—my joy and crown. In this manner stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.
For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you?
