'Except' in the Bible
But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife, except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires to reveal Him.
But He answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
And they were offended by Him.But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his household.”

No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.
not that anyone has seen the Father except the One who is from God. He has seen the Father.
“One who has bathed,” Jesus told him, “doesn’t need to wash anything except his feet, but he is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”
