'Look' in the Bible
The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look! The Lamb of God!"
Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said about him, "Look, a genuine Israeli, in whom there is no deceit!"
so they went to John and told him, "Rabbi, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, the one about whom you testified look, he's baptizing, and everyone is going to him!"
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Later on, Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, "Look! You have become well. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
I receive not glory from men [I crave no human honor, I look for no mortal fame],
How can you believe when you accept each other's praise and do not look for the praise that comes from the only God?
When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to Capernaum to look for Jesus.
Yet, look! He's speaking publicly and they're saying nothing to Him. Can it be true that the authorities know He is the Messiah?
You will look for Me, but you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come."
What is this remark He made: 'You will look for Me, and you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come' ?"
They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
Then He said to them again, "I'm going away; you will look for Me, and you will die in your sin. Where I'm going, you cannot come."
So Jesus added, When you have lifted up the Son of Man [on the cross], you will realize (know, understand) that I am He [for Whom you look] and that I do nothing of Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me.
So the sisters sent a message to Jesus, "Lord, look, the one you love is sick."
Thus the people who had come to mourn said, "Look how much he loved him!"
Fear no more, Daughter Zion; look! your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt.
Then the Pharisees said to one another, "You see? You've accomplished nothing. Look-the world has gone after Him!"
The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed to know which of them he was talking about.
"Children, I am with you a little while longer. You will look for Me, and just as I told the Jews, 'Where I am going you cannot come,' so now I tell you.
His disciples said, "Look, now you are speaking plainly and not in obscure figures of speech!
Look: An hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
Why do you question Me? Question those who heard what I told them. Look, they know what I said."
Pilate went outside again and said to them, "Look, I'm bringing Him outside to you to let you know I find no grounds for charging Him."
So Jesus came outside, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Look, here is the man!"
(Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover, about noon.) Pilate said to the Jewish leaders, "Look, here is your king!"
So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, look, here is your son!"
He then said to his disciple, "Look, here is your mother!" From that very time the disciple took her into his own home.
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Bending over to look inside, he noticed the linen cloths lying there, but didn't go in.
But Mary stood outside facing the tomb, crying. As she was crying, she stooped to look into the tomb.
Then he told Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Take your hand, and put it into my side. Stop doubting, but believe."
