'Poor' in the Bible
So whenever you give to the poor, don't blow a trumpet before you like the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets so that they will be praised by people. I tell all of you with certainty, they have their full reward!
But when you give to the poor, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set oppressed people free,
So give what is inside to the poor, and then everything will be clean for you.
"Sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves wallets that don't wear out a dependable treasure in heaven, where no thief can get close and no moth can destroy anything.
Instead, when you give a banquet, make it your habit to invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.

You say, "I am rich. I have become wealthy. I don't need anything." Yet you don't realize that you are miserable, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.
The second beast forces all people important and unimportant, rich and poor, free and slaves to be marked on their right hands or on their foreheads,
