'Speech' in the Bible

Come, let Us go down there and confuse their language so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”

But Moses replied to the Lord, “Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent—either in the past or recently or since You have been speaking to Your servant—because I am slow and hesitant in speech.”

So He will speak to this peoplewith stammering speechand in a foreign language.

You will be brought down;you will speak from the ground,and your words will come from low in the dust.Your voice will be like that of a spirit from the ground;your speech will whisper from the dust.

those who, with their speech,accuse a person of wrongdoing,who set a trap at the gate for the mediator,and without cause deprive the righteous of justice.

You will no longer see the barbarians,a people whose speech is difficult to comprehend—who stammer in a language that is not understood.

I am about to bring a nationfrom far away against you,house of Israel.This is the Lord’s declaration.It is an established nation,an ancient nation,a nation whose language you do not knowand whose speech you do not understand.

For you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech or difficult language but to the house of Israel.

You are not being sent to many peoples of unintelligible speech or difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. No doubt, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

For I will then restorepure speech to the peoplesso that all of them may callon the name of Yahwehand serve Him with a single purpose.
