'Well pleased' in the Bible
Then said Jacob, Nay, I pray thee, if, I pray thee, have found favour in thine eyes, then thou wilt take my present at my hand, - For on this account, hath my seeing thy face been like seeing the face of God in that thou wast well-pleased with me.
And Moses was well-pleased to dwell with the man, - and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.
Bless, O Yahweh his substance, And with the work of his hands, wilt thou be well pleased, - Crush thou the loins of them who rise up against him, And of them who hate him, that they rise not again.
And when his servants said these words to David, he was well pleased to be the son-in-law of the king. And the days were still not past.
For you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have shown today that commanders and servants are nothing to you; for today I know that if Absalom had lived and all the rest of us had died today, then you would be pleased.

From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:
I am well pleased, that the LORD hath heard the voice of my prayer,
Go thy way - eat, with gladness, thy food, and drink, with a happy heart, thy wine, - when already God is well pleased with thy works.
Lo! my Servant, I will uphold him, My chosen, well-pleased is my soul, - I have put my spirit upon him, Justice - to the nations, will he bring forth:
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honorable.
But as for them whose heart walketh well-pleased with their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”

Glory to God in the highest, and on the earth peace among men with whom he is well pleased.
and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”

In order that should be judged who would not believe in the truth, but were well-pleased with the unrighteousness.
Saying above, that Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin thou didst not will, neither wast well pleased with; whatsoever are offered according to law;
But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."
and of doing good, and of fellowship, be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well-pleased.
For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”—
