And many multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deaf, the maimed, and many others; and laid them at the feet of Jesus, and he cured them;

Then was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb: and he cured him, so that the blind and dumb man both spoke and saw.

And behold, a woman of Chanaan came out from those borders, and cried to him, saying: Have mercy on me, Lord, son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.

And they came to him, bringing a paralytic, who was carried by four men.

And when they had come to the multitude, there came to him a man who knelt to him, and said: Lord, have mercy on my son; for ho is a lunatic, and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they were not able to cure him. read more.
Jesus answered and said: faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the demon, and he came out of him: and the child was cured from that hour.

and for me, that speech may be given me, in opening my mouth with boldness, that I may make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me, in your prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that this service of mine, which is for Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints; that I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed among you.

if you also unite in prayer for our aid, that the favor bestowed on us, through the intercession of many persons, may cause thanks to be given by many for us.

Brethren, pray for us.

Pray for us: for we trust that we have a good conscience, willing to live honor ably in all things.

and saying: Lord, my servant lies in my house, palsied, fearfully afflicted.

And he arose and went out of the synagogue into the house of Simon. And Simon's mother-in-law was confined with a violent fever: and they besought him in her behalf.

And they brought to him a deaf man, who spoke with difficulty; and they besought him to lay his hand upon him.

When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and besought him that he would come down, and restore his son to health, for he was about to die.

And, behold, a man from the multitude cried out, saying: Teacher, I beseech thee, look upon my son, for he is my only child;

do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,

and said: Lord, have mercy on my son; for ho is a lunatic, and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

And one of the multitude answered and said: Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a dumb spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him into convulsions; and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pines away: and I spoke to your disciples to cast him out, and they were not able. And he answered them, and said: faithless generation! how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me. read more.
And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, the spirit immediately threw him into convulsions; and he fell on the ground, and rolled himself, foaming. And he asked his father: How long is it since this came upon him? He replied: From childhood. And often it throws him into the fire, and into the water, to destroy him. But if you are able to do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said to him: If you are able to believe, all things are possible to him that believes. And immediately the father of the child cried out, and with tears said: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, and said to it: Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter into him no more. And the spirit cried out, and threw him into strong convulsions, and came out of him; and he was like one dead, so that many said: He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up, and he arose.

thence they sailed to Antioch, from which place they had been commended to the grace of God, for the work which they had accomplished.

But Paul chose Silas, and departed, having been commended to the grace of God by the brethren.

Wherefore, he is able also to save through all time those who come to God by him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died: rather, indeed, that has risen, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

The Lord grant to him, that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day. And in how many things he ministered to me in Ephesus, you know very well.

I beseech you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds, who, for some time, has been unprofitable to you, but now is very profitable to you and to me: I send him back, and do you receive him, that is, my son. read more.
I did wish to keep him with me, that, in your stead, he might serve me in my bonds for the gospel; but, without your consent, I was not willing to do any thing, that your good deed might not be as a matter of necessity, but one of free-will. Perhaps, indeed, lie departed for a short time for this reason, that you might receive him forever; no longer as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, especially by me, and how much more by you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. If, then, you regard me as a partner, receive him as myself. But if he has done you any wrong, or owes you any thing, put that to my account. Yes, brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: refresh my heart in the Lord. Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.

and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete, that he may dwell with you forever;

But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith fail not. And when you have turned to me again, strengthen your brethren.

And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And dividing his clothing into parts, they cast lots.

I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for them whom thou hast given me; for they are thine.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace; to Him who is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the sanctified.

But Simon answered and said: Pray you both to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken come upon me.
