for if you live according to flesh, you are about to die. If by the Spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Put on (live like) (clothe yourself with) the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make provision for the desires of the flesh.
Make your members that are upon the earth dead with regard to fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness (greed), which is idolatry.

We know this that our old self was impaled with him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer be in bondage to sin.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have impaled the flesh with its passions and lusts.
From now on you must live the rest of your earthly lives controlled by God's will and not by human desires (lusts).
I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
If your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away! It is better to lose a part of your body then to have your whole body destroyed in the ever-burning fires of the Valley of Hinnom.
If your hand or your foot is a cause of stumbling cut it off. Get rid of it. It is better for you to go into life with the loss of a hand or a foot than, having two hands or two feet, to be destroyed by eternal fire.
Beloved, I request that you as aliens and strangers abstain from fleshly lust (desires), which causes conflict in you.

Flesh » The flesh
My flesh and my heart fail: God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.
It is the spirit that gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I spoke to you are spirit and life.
All people are like grass. All their glory is like the blossom of a flower. The grass withers and the flower drops off.
A voice shouts: Cry out! And I said: What shall I cry? The voice shouts: All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of Jehovah blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.
Watch and pray continually that you do not enter into temptation!
To avoid temptation watch and pray. The spirit truly is willing but the flesh is weak.
Thanks to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ! So then I can serve God's law only with my mind, while my human nature serves the law of sin.
I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. These are in opposition to one another that you may not do the things that you would. But if the Spirit leads you, you are not under the Law. read more.
Now the works of the flesh (sinful human nature) are apparent. They are: fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, wrath, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunkenness, revelries, and things like these. I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that those who practice such things would not inherit the kingdom of God.

Holy spirit » Those that follow after the spirit
Those who live through (in union with) (because of) Jesus Christ have no condemnation. [They do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.] The law of the Spirit gives us life through (with) (because of) Christ Jesus. It has set me free from the law of sin and death. God did what the Law could not do, because human nature was weak. He sent his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering and do away with sin. So he condemned sin in sinful human nature. read more.
God did this so that the righteous requirements of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature. They who live according to flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh. They who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Inheritance » Who shall not inherit the kingdom of God
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor people who worship idols, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous (greedy), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists, will inherit the kingdom of God. That is what some of you were. You have been washed clean and now you are sanctified. The Spirit of our God declares you righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus.

When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All nations will be gathered before him. He will then separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. read more.
The King will say to those on his right hand: 'Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.' The righteous will answer him: 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and dress you? When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?' The King will answer: 'To the extent that you did it to one of the least of my brothers, you did it to me.' Then he will tell those on his left: 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the ever-burning fire that is prepared for the Devil and his [fallen] angels. I was hungry and you did not feed me. I was thirsty and you did not give me drink. I was a stranger and you did not take me in. I was naked and you did not dress me. I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' These will go away into ever-burning fire (everlasting cutting off) (death) (total destruction) (doom) (punishment) (everlasting penalty), but the righteous to everlasting life.'

For you know this with certainty, that no fornicator, no unclean person, no covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words. It is because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Do not be partakers with them.
