Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day."

But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign; but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day." And they were greatly distressed.

"You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified."

And as they were eating, he said, "Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me."

He answered, "He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me. The Son of Man goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born."

Then he came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand."

For he was teaching his disciples and said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and when he is killed, after three days he will rise."

They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And he took the twelve aside again and began to tell them what was to happen to him. I am not speaking of you all. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'he who ate my bread has lifted up his heel against me.' Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does take place, you may believe that I am he. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives anyone I send receives me; and he who receives me receives him who sent me." read more.
When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, "Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me." The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was leaning close to the breast of Jesus. Simon Peter motioned to him and said, "Ask who it is of whom he speaks." Then, leaning back on the breast of Jesus, he said to him, "Lord, who is it?" Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give this piece of bread when I have dipped it." And having dipped the bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Then after the bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly."

Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow afterward." Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow, till you have denied me three times.

And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."

From that time Jesus began to show to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised on the third day. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him saying, "Never, Lord! This shall never happen to you!" But he turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will reward each man according to what he has done.
